Privacy Policy — EasyRadio

Overview

EasyRadio is a radio streaming application for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, developed by TattooedGeek Technologies. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is stored, and how it is handled.

Data Collection

EasyRadio does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or any third party. The app does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting, or tracking of any kind.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device, using UserDefaults:

  • Your list of favorite radio stations and custom tabs
  • Your language preference
  • Your country filter preference
  • Your iCloud sync preference (enabled or disabled)

This data is stored exclusively on your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you choose to enable iCloud sync in the app's settings, your favorite stations and custom tabs are synced across your devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore). This feature is opt-in and disabled by default.

When iCloud sync is enabled:

  • Your favorites and tabs are stored in your personal iCloud account, managed entirely by Apple
  • Data is synced only between devices signed in to the same Apple Account
  • No data is sent to TattooedGeek Technologies or any third party
  • You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app's Settings

Export & Import

EasyRadio allows you to export your favorite stations as a JSON file and import favorites from a file. These files are handled entirely on your device — no data is uploaded to any server during this process.

Network Usage

The app connects to the internet solely for:

  • Streaming radio audio from the station URLs you select
  • Searching the Radio Browser API (radio-browser.info) when you add a new station

No personal information is sent in these requests. The app does not transmit device identifiers, location data, or any form of user tracking information.

Third-Party Services

EasyRadio does not integrate any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising services. The only external service used is the Radio Browser public directory for station search, which does not require authentication or personal data.

Children's Privacy

EasyRadio does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app contains no user accounts, no social features, and no in-app purchases.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
